Accent Publications

Accent Accent is a vibrant literary platform with a cross-border, multilingual writing community and a bookstore/gallery space in Union Square, New York. Founded by three Chinese female writers in 2022, it is dedicated to discovering bold, original, and imaginative voices and publishing works that outgrow the constraints of capitalism and censorship.

Our first publication, LOVE OF THE COLONIZER by Yasmine Anlan Huang, has been exhibited and collected by the Whitney Biennial, the ABC Book Fair, and others. In 2025, we are thrilled to release the first English translation of award-winning Chinese writer Zhu Yue’s Borgesian short story collection, THE MASTER OF SLEEP AND OTHER STORIES, translated by Pen/O. Henry Award recipient Jianan Qian and Iowa MFA graduate Alyssa Asquith.
