Editor’s Note
The poems in this anthology emerged from in-class prompts in the GEOPOETICS: READING AND WRITING AT PLANETARY SCALE, a 6-week online course I facilitated in summer 2026. Across time zones and geographies—as well as disciplines and sometimes, languages—we wove together a special amalgam of planetary works and conversations. Our class experimented across list poems, score poems, documentary poems, concrete poems, and new forms which extend beyond categorization.
This anthology and corresponding gallery show, IN A COLLAPSE OF THE EARTH (Sep 5–Oct 11, 2026), bring together works responding to the planetary, political, and poetic questions in this class. Special thanks to Jiaoyang Li and Ming Chen at Accent Sisters for curating and organizing this group, to Faith Kim for design, and to all the participating artists and poets for your curiosity and trust.
