Description
Miss Information (aka Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto, Smokey & Miho, and Gorillaz, amongst others) created this album while in residence at Pioneer Works with a simple concept: “What if information was a woman?” Hatori positions information as something akin to the moon, a mysterious natural energy that, in her words, “brings change to the planet.”
The first song she released—appropriately, “Miss Information Theme”—is about the goddess of information ending up in Los Angeles and having plastic surgery. Hatori’s conceptual data flow for Sequence progressed from there.
