In 2021, You Liang traveled to Shangri-La, the holy city of Tibet and encountered a souvenir shop named "Bethlehem Boutique" that was written in the language of the colonizers (Chinese). You Liang had no idea whether it was a survivor of the previous fire in Shangri-La or a newcomer after its reconstruction. With a sense of unease about this anachronistic setting, You Liang began to examine the collective memory reconstructed by pilgrims and colonizers through her lens.
